Join Laura Nativo & Preston Casanova, the duo named “America’s Favorite Ma & Paw” by Entertainment Weekly, as they share Hollywood’s movie dog secrets for training advanced tricks and creative behaviors. You’ll learn the how your dog can break into show business as a canine actor – regardless of where you live! Or, apply your dog’s star pawtential to help humans off-screen, through canine entertainment, as a certified therapy dog.

Trick training is perhaps the most fun way to bond with your four-legged best friend, providing the mental and physical stimulation dogs need to thrive! Dogs without a “job” are often bored, and left to find their own source of entertainment (your cat? shoes? couch?) which translates to many owners as misbehavior.

Using Positive Reinforcement Methods through Clicker & Yes! Training, you will learn how to transfer your dog’s energy into a fun, positive, rewarding outlet, and become a happier, more stable, better mannered canine in the process. Trick training helps your dog build confidence, improve flexibility, develop body awareness, strengthen thinking abilities, and understand how better to communicate with you.

Celebrity dog trainer Laura Nativo designed this 2 hour seminar to give each dog parent the tools and understanding of “how to” train through play, as you integrate trick training into your daily life.

This playshop welcomes dogs of all ages with a foundation of basic obedience, and is a terrific supplement to your dog’s current group classes or in-home training.
A trick-trained dogs feels smart, needed, confident, important, incredibly bonded with its human, and far more welcomed by society. You’ll be inspired, and amazed, as Laura & Preston introduce you to the endless possibilities for trick training, regardless of your dog’s age, size or breed, in a positive way that’s fun for both you and your dog.

After starring in the CBS hit reality show, Greatest American Dog, actress/producer Laura Nativo’s life has officially gone to the dogs. You might have seen her on Wall Street, when she and her celebrity pomeranian, Preston Casanova, rang the opening bell of the NYSE on Christmas Eve, as ambassadors for Helen Woodward Animal Center and the Iams Home for the Holidays Campaign, helping over 1.3 MILLION dogs and cats find new homes. Laura & Preston host a live, interactive show for dog lovers, Preston’s Planet L!VE, on TheStream.tv that airs Wednesday nights. Laura & Preston hosted a web series for Natura Pet Products, traveling the country to work with other amazing dogs and their humans, filming The Adventures of Laura & Preston. In their time off-screen, Laura and Preston are passionate about promoting the importance of the human-animal connection, and volunteering with incredible charities around the country. Laura is the founder of The Pawtastics, a non-profit volunteer organization comprised of celebrity dogs, studio dogs, exceptionally-trained canines and their humans who aspire to take therapy dog work to another level. Laura is a certified APDT dog trainer who actively volunteers at local shelters, and loves helping homeless pets develop better manners, so they have a better chance of finding a forever family! Her magical ability to understand, connect with and positively inspire dogs to reach their full potential have led to her being nicknamed, “The Fairy Dogmother”. Laura and Preston were recently honored at the Westminster Dog Show for their philanthropic endeavors on behalf of our four-legged friends, awarded the 2010 “Pet Star” Golden Paw Award.
